4. What is your perception of the old and new generation?

My perception in old and new generation

Parents are now using the same social networking platforms (created by Generation-Y, mind you) that Generation-Yers are themselves using. They are being exposed to the same information, the same videos, the same music, the same memes and the same horrors of the world that so often become viral. The generational gap is quickly closing and all thanks to our generation. Our parents are now becoming our friends. We now have something that we can relate to and talk about — we have similar interests. This is all creating a positive energy that can be seen and felt.We can create our new relationship to be able to communicate to others and collaborate eventhough their our gap to each other we must think that this technology help us to be innovative in our own way.

5. Illustrate the Six Fluencies

As effective communicators and teachers, we need to learn as much as we can about
the  learners  of  today. To  maximize the effectiveness, millennial teaching and
communication to each other.

In the new generation we must welcome the new world of technology to be able to more complex and also use the Higher Order Thinking Skills that may apply in the new world of technology.
This are the Fluencies that may help to assess the students these are the:

Solution Fluency

Our education system has taught problem-solving in a show-and-tell manner (we show students the problem, and tell them how we got the answer) that has fostered a culture of dependency, rather than discovery. But if you look at today’s economy, you’ll discover that most left-brain tasks are already automated or outsourced via Internet in a global economy, leaving jobs that require whole-brain thinking. This means creativity and problem-solving applied in real time.

Information Fluency

data is increasing dramatically, facts are becoming obsolete faster, and knowledge built on these facts is less durable. Information fluency is the ability to unconsciously interpret this avalanche of data in all formats, in order to extract the essential and perceive its significance

Creativity Fluency

Creativity fluency how artistic proficiency adds meaning through design, art, and storytelling. We are all creative people. This means that creativity can be taught and learned like any other skill. It’s a whole brain process that involves both hemispheres working together.

Media Fluency

In our multimedia world, communication has moved far beyond the realm of text. Our visual learning capacity needs stimulation with rich media from a variety of different sources. But it’s more than just operating a digital camera, creating a podcast, or writing a document.

Collaboration Fluency

It is the spirit of collaboration that will stimulate progress in our global marketplace, in our social networks, and in our ability to create products of value and substance. Collaboration fluency is the ability to successfully work and interact with virtual and real partners.

Digital Ethics

Digital ethics is so important b/c how we present/construct ourselves online effects the way in which our communication & intentions will be received.

2. How will you bridge the gap of the Generation Y and Z?

As a future educator, it is  one of the most challenge in teaching profession because we are the one will be the bridge the gap of Y and Z. Also we must update what are the learning's that may apply in the generation now that may be able to help in generation Y. Especially I can be able to teach them what are the things about technology. And some age are in 30's and 40's and don't usually understand like tweet ,hashtag and etc. and they feel that they didn't grow up in the age of technology that's why they don't know how to use technology because technology is changing everything. and as a teacher we must encourage our students that even though there are internet it is not the primary sources in all information because book is the source of information. And in the Generation Y are may not be afraid to use technology so that they can learn of what are the kids learn in today's generation. And Generation Z will help the Generation Y to become a better user technology and to teach to be a responsible users.

And even there are gap between Y and Z as long as they understand ,communicate to each other and help each other to create a new relationship between the two of them.

Generation Y participated in team sports, play groups and other group activities. They value teamwork and seek the input and affirmation of others. Part of a no-person-left-behind generation.

While Generation Z they want to stay in the house to play gadgets like Ipads, Tablets and Etc. .They don't do Sports outside the house because they only want just playing games inside the house.
